How to understand venue pricing?
Getting a sense of venue hire pricing before enquiring was almost impossible in the days before VenueScanner.
In order to solve this issue, we offer Venue Hosts four different pricing options for displaying their prices to you. The pricing is always displayed on a 'from' basis, so be aware that there are occasionally seasonal variations in pricing.
Price per hour. Does exactly what it says on the tin.
Price per day. You might find it's cheaper to hire a whole day than 4 or 5 or 6 hours.
Minimum spend. The minimum you'll have to spend on the night - most often used by restaurants and bars.
Price per guest. Used by meeting centres, conference centres (also known as the day delegate rate) and also restaurants with set menus.
Want to see the most affordable venues first? Simply choose our 'Sort by price' option on the search results page (in the top right of the page just next to the map). In order to accommodate these four different scenarios we display the prices in ascending order based on a calculated price per guest per day. Following feedback from our members community, this is the best way to display our pricing across the four options.
Some Venue Hosts also choose to display their price as POA. We strongly discourage it, because we know that's of limited help to you. Always look out for the price comment, which some Venue Hosts add to their venue page in order to give you more info on pricing.
